Dimethylformamide (DMF) is a polar aprotic solvent with high solvency for polymers and many organic and inorganic compounds. It is supplied as a colourless liquid for industrial use.
- Polymer Industry: Solvent for polyurethane coatings, synthetic leather and acrylic fibre spinning. - Chemical Synthesis: Reaction solvent in pharmaceutical and agrochemical manufacture. - Petrochemicals: Extraction solvent for butadiene and acetylene. - Coatings & Adhesives: Solvent for PU resins and adhesives.
