DTPMP is a high-performance organophosphonic acid used as a scale inhibitor and chelating agent. It is particularly effective against barium and calcium sulfate scale and in alkaline conditions.

- Water Treatment: Scale inhibitor in cooling water, boilers and oilfield applications. - Textile Industry: Peroxide bleaching stabiliser and chelating agent. - Detergents: Chelating agent in industrial cleaners and laundry formulations. - Pulp & Paper: Peroxide bleaching stabiliser.
