Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate is the common commercial form of copper(II) sulfate, supplied as blue crystals or crystalline powder. It is used as a fungicide and algaecide, as a copper source and in the production of copper chemicals.
- Agriculture: Used as a fungicide and in the control of algae in ponds. - Water Treatment: Applied for controlling algae and purifying water. - Chemical Manufacturing: Used as a catalyst and in the production of copper compounds. - Mining: Used in the extraction of copper from ores. - Textile Industry: Used in dyeing and printing processes.
