PBTC is a phosphonocarboxylic acid supplied as a 50% aqueous solution. It combines phosphonate and carboxylate groups, giving excellent scale inhibition at high temperature, hardness and pH, with good chlorine tolerance.
- Water Treatment: Scale and corrosion inhibitor in cooling water and oilfield water injection. - Reverse Osmosis: Antiscalant formulations for membrane systems. - Detergents: Chelating agent in industrial cleaners and metal cleaning. - Textile Industry: Chelating and dispersing agent in dyeing processes.
