Sodium Vinyl Sulfonate (SVS) is a reactive anionic monomer supplied as an aqueous solution. It introduces sulfonate groups into polymers.
- Polymers: Co-monomer for water-soluble and dispersant polymers. - Electroplating: Additive in nickel plating baths. - Oilfield Chemicals: Monomer for scale inhibitors and fluid-loss additives. - Fibres: Improves dyeability of acrylic fibres.
