Silver bromide is a chemical compound of silver and bromine that is found naturally as the mineral bromargyrite. It is used in black-and-white photography film and as a semiconductor. Bromine is a halogen element with the symbol Br and atomic number 35. Diatomic bromine does not occur naturally, but bromine salts can be found in crustal rock. Silver is a metallic element with the chemical symbol Ag and atomic number 47.
