Itaconic Acid is an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid produced by fermentation, supplied as a white powder. It is used as a co-monomer in polymer manufacture.
- Polymers: Co-monomer in acrylic and SBR latex, fibres and resins. - Coatings & Adhesives: Improves adhesion and dispersion in emulsions. - Detergents: Raw material for polyacids and superabsorbents. - Chemical Intermediate: Production of specialty chemicals.
