Trisodium citrate is a sodium salt of citric acid, commonly used as a food additive, in medical applications, and as a cleaning agent.
- Food Industry: Used as an acidity regulator, preservative, and emulsifying agent in processed foods. - Medical Applications: Applied as an anticoagulant in blood collection tubes and as a buffering agent in intravenous solutions. - Household Products: Used in cleaning products as a stain remover and water softener. - Industrial Applications: Used in detergents, and in the production of some industrial chemicals.
